Domestic Pets At Great Mackerel Beach

Dogs

Dogs are welcome at Great Mackerel Beach but should be kept on a leash at all times when outside the home. The only exception to this is during the designated dog walking times as detailed on the Council signs in the jetty shed. During these set hours dogs are allowed off leash north of the wharf. Please see the signs for full details.

Cats

Cats are not permitted at Great Mackerel Beach under any circumstance. With numerous vulnerable species of wildlife throughout GMB and the National Park, Council strictly enforce a ‘No Cats’ policy.
