What To Do In Case Of An Emergency

Medical emergencies do happen at Mackerel Beach and the geographic location brings extra complications and danger. 

For emergencies phone 000 and the water police will co-ordinate with ambulance and other responders.  

For minor cases, most local RFS members have basic first aid training and can provide first responder assistance or advice.

The brigade is also responsible for EMERGENCY MEDICAL EQUIPMENT which has two locations: in the wharf shed there is an AED defibrillator, medical oxygen, epipen, snake bite and major bleed kits and first aid kit. And at Diggers Crescent there is also a first aid kit and oxygen.

Both locations - the Wharf Shed & Diggers Crescent - have an identifying First Aid / AED signage.
